The practice was established by Rosamund Diamond in 1998 with a commitment to develop well made and appropriate projects from careful readings of their social, economic and cultural contexts. Architecture affects collective interraction and individual experience at many levels of engagement, from urban to interior environments. Diamond Architects have always been interested in the social and potentially psychological aspects of design, developing projects in a synthesised manner, enjoying their evolution from careful collaborations with their clients and contexts. They celebrate the architects' roles as inspiring catalysts to inventive ways of making and inhabiting buildings. All of their work has been made to be elegant and robust, resulting in completed work of longevity and adaptability, well received by clients and users. Its ethos is to projects of vitality in public and private realms, in which their sustainability arises from continuing use and effective construction.
